Responsibilities

• Enter invoices into QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy of items and accounts coded.
• Assist in reconciling GL accounts and preparing financial statements.
• Assist in month-end close, including journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
• Prepare and send invoices to customers, following up for collections when necessary.
• Reconcile and track inventory product movements.
• Prepare payments for vendors and employees.
• Assist in audit and tax filing processes.
• Work with supply chain personnel in issuing purchase orders.
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as required.

Overview

Our rapidly expanding technology firm is looking to fill the position of Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of GAAP, experience in GL reconciliations, inventory management, AP, and AR. Must thrive in a professional, fast-paced environment. Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is strongly preferred. We are looking to fill this position immediately.

Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in business and/or accounting from a 4-year college or university.
• Good with Excel.
• Solid experience with QuickBooks Desktop/Enterprise.
• Excellent English skills. Must be able to communicate in a clear, professional manner.
• Strong understanding of internal controls.
• Must be a team-player, possess a positive attitude, and be willing to step up to responsibilities as needed.
• Minimum 3 years' work experience preferred.
• Good references from previous employers.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Enter invoices into QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy of items and accounts coded.
• Assist in reconciling GL accounts, assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statement and balance sheet.
• Assist in month-end close, including journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements monthly.
• Prepare and send invoices to customers, and follow-up in a professional manner for collections when necessary.
• Reconciliation and tracking of inventory product movements, including performing physical inventory counts.
• Prepare payments, for vendors and employees, including checks and wires.
• Assist in audit and tax filing processes.
• Work with supply chain personnel in issuing purchase orders.
• Prepare customer setup forms, credit applications, and resale certificates for vendors.
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required.
