We're currently looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. An ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of general accounting with strong G/L experience.

Job Responsibilities:

General

Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Prepare and post journal entries and accruals.
Review expense coding to ensure account and transaction accuracy.
Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual financial close functions related to Inventory, Cost of Goods Sold, and other related General Ledger accounts.
Coordinate equipment rental invoicing and maintain billing master file.
Calculate and file US and GST sales tax returns.
Assist in organizing schedules and reports for external audit.
Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Support other team members as necessary.
Perform other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
2 to 3 years hands-on General Ledger experience
Exhibits strong technical accounting knowledge
Advanced MS Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables
Solid written and verbal communication skill
Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
Comfort dealing with ambiguity and manipulation of large amounts of data
Highly energized team player with an ability to operate effectively in a family-owned organization
