Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 based on experience.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Analyze, verify, code, and post invoices in ERP system
• Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
• Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
• Clarify any questionable invoice items, terms, or prices; research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issue
• Reconcile vendor statements to make sure accounts are correct and current
• Analyze all accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure payment accuracy
• Research and approve new vendors and create new vendor accounts
• Create and post journal entries as needed
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
• Produce weekly and monthly payable reports
• Assist with month end closing
• Provide supporting documentation for audits
• Maintain accurate historical records
• Payment posting for vendor invoices
• Proactively monitor and track the status of 'outstanding items' to ensure all deadlines are met

Education and Experience

• An associate degree or a certificate in business accounting (preferred, not required)
• 1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
• Proficient in data entry and management
• Comfortable with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
• Functional knowledge of database and spreadsheet tools, such as Excel
• Strong basic mathematical skills
• An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to fully address accounts payable issues
