Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Coda Search is partnering with a globally recognized Asset Management group that is seeking to hire a Staff Accountant in New York, NY. This is a dynamic firm that has over $50BN+ AUM that focuses on the emerging markets and global equities. This role would sit in the corporate accounting team reporting into the Assistant Controller where they would be responsible for assisting with the month-end close, preparing the financial statements, managing the GL, and assisting with the annual audit. The role would also be assisting with any cash management activities and acting as the right hand to the Assistant Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the month-end close preparing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and adjusting entries
• Manage the GL and reconcile accounts
• Perform full cycle accounts payable processing/coding 50+ invoices on a weekly basis
• Manage all cash receipts and cash deposits
• Prepare schedules and work papers for balance sheet accounts
• Oversee a portfolio of vendors and ensure the information is accurate
• Assist with the annual audit and prepare any supporting documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting/Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Prior experience in Asset Management or Financial Services would be a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
