Job summary

Ridgeford Operations, based in Phoenix, is seeking a Staff Accountant who can keep our books closed on time and prepare cost comparisons for clients. The role is full-time and remote from anywhere in the United States with U.S. business hours.

You will record payables, reconciliations, run month-end entries, and liaise with our CPA. Experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel is essential, with FT availability and potential for training support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or an associate degree with a year of bookkeeping.
• Month-end reconciliations in QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage or a similar system.
• Excel, including pivot tables and XLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Record payables, receivables and expense reports in QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile the bank, credit card and payroll clearing accounts each month.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and the trial balance for our outside CPA.
• Pull purchase price, scrap and expedite costs from client data for a cost comparison.
• Invoice clients for finished project phases and follow up on late payments.

When we change how a manufacturer plans or buys, its finance team wants to see the effect in dollars before the new routine becomes the standard. Our Staff Accountant keeps Ridgeford's own books closed on time and prepares those before-and-after cost comparisons for clients.

Staff Accountant. Full-time, remote from anywhere in the United States, U.S. business hours.

On a normal day

• Record payables, receivables and expense reports in QuickBooks Online


• Reconcile the bank, credit card and payroll clearing accounts each month


• Prepare month-end journal entries and the trial balance for our outside CPA


• Pull purchase price, scrap and expedite costs from client data for a cost comparison


• Invoice clients for finished project phases and follow up on late payments

You’ll need

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or an associate degree and a year of bookkeeping work
