Job summary

Ridgeford Operations is seeking a Staff Accountant to help keep our books closed on time and prepare cost comparisons for clients. This full-time role is remote from anywhere in the United States, during U.S.

business hours. On a typical day you will record payables, receivables and expense reports in QuickBooks Online, reconcile bank, credit card and payroll clearing accounts, and prepare month-end journal entries and the trial balance for our outside CPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or an associate degree with 1 year bookkeeping experience.
• Month-end reconciliations in QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage or similar systems.
• Excel skills including pivot tables and XLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Record payables, receivables and expense reports in QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile the bank, credit card and payroll clearing accounts each month.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and the trial balance for our outside CPA.
• Pull purchase price, scrap and expedite costs from client data for a cost comparison.
• Invoice clients for finished project phases and follow up on late payments.

Job description

When we change how a manufacturer plans or buys, its finance team wants to see the effect in dollars before the new routine becomes the standard. Our Staff Accountant keeps Ridgeford's own books closed on time and prepares those before-and-after cost comparisons for clients.

Staff Accountant. Full-time, remote from anywhere in the United States, U.S. business hours.

On a normal day

• Record payables, receivables and expense reports in QuickBooks Online


• Reconcile the bank, credit card and payroll clearing accounts each month


• Prepare month-end journal entries and the trial balance for our outside CPA


• Pull purchase price, scrap and expedite costs from client data for a cost comparison


• Invoice clients for finished project phases and follow up on late payments

You’ll need

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or an associate degree and a year of bookkeeping work


• Month-end reconciliations in QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage or a similar system


• Excel, including pivot tables and XLOOKUP

Helpful, not required

• Cost accounting or inventory valuation at a manufacturer


• Progress toward a CPA or CMA
