CFS in Rochester, Indiana, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Accountant to support the accounting team during the SAP to NetSuite transition. This role focuses on backlogged activities, reconciliations, and GL cleanup in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform intercompany reconciliations, prepare journal entries, review accruals and fixed assets, and assist with WIP and inventory reconciliations. Proficiency in Excel and the ability to learn new systems quickly are essential.

Location: Rochester, IN | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Salary: $52,000-$62,400

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Accountant to support a manufacturing company's accounting team during its transition from SAP to NetSuite. This individual will assist with backlogged accounting activities, account reconciliations, and general ledger cleanup. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, manufacturing accounting experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform intercompany reconciliations related to the SAP-to-NetSuite transition.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and fixed asset transactions.
• Reconcile general ledger and subledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Trace transactions through the general ledger to ensure accuracy and proper account balances.
• Assist with manufacturing accounting activities, including work-in-process (WIP) and inventory-related reconciliations.
• Review and clean up historical accounting transactions and outstanding balances.
• Utilize Excel, including pivot tables and formulas, to analyze accounting data and support reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end close activities and other accounting projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Understanding of manufacturing accounting concepts, including work-in-process (WIP).
• Ability to trace transactions, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile general ledger and subledger balances.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and basic formulas.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to learn new accounting systems quickly and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with NetSuite.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP accounting systems.
• Experience supporting ERP transitions, account cleanup, or historical reconciliations.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, fixed assets, and manufacturing cost accounting.

Ideal Candidate

Someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable jumping into an accounting project with an existing backlog. This individual should be confident navigating general ledger transactions, identifying discrepancies, and working efficiently to bring accounting records up to date.

NetSuite experience is a plus, not a requirement. Strong accounting knowledge and manufacturing experience.
