Position Summary The Intersect Group is seeking a **Staff Accountant** to support a growing finance and accounting team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in general accounting, financial analysis, and reconciliations while demonstrating the ability to identify issues, research variances, and recommend solutions. Key Responsibilities* Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.* Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany accounts, and maintain supporting documentation within reconciliation tools such as FloQast.* Research and resolve out-of-balance conditions, providing corrective actions and root-cause analysis.* Support month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.* Prepare, review, and upload financial results into corporate reporting platforms, including OneStream or similar systems.* Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports and cash performance updates.* Assist with sales reporting, forecasting activities, sales tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.* Support internal and external audit requests while helping maintain and strengthen internal controls.Key Requirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.* 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience with a strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.* Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting month-end close processes.* Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.* Experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems; exposure to OneStream, JDE, or similar platforms preferred.* Familiarity with account reconciliation software such as FloQast and experience supporting audit activities.* Experience with SAP S/4HANA, cost accounting, fixed assets, accounts receivable, or system implementations is a plus.* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.* Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact with internal and external stakeholders.Why Apply?
