We're building futures, unlocking potential, and fueling what's possible — together.**JOB DESCRIPTION:**The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of accounting processes including vendor payments, member contracts, cash matching, journal entries, account reconciliations, month end reporting, and ad hoc requests. This role will report directly to the Manager of Accounting.**How you will*****Own It:**** Take ownership of assigned GL accounts and ensure accuracy, understanding, and consistency of application and compliance with GAAP* Responsible for ensuring vendors are paid timely and acquiring adequate documentation for controls purposes (Invoice, approvals, W-9s, Bank letters, etc.)* Responsible for matching cash activity during the month, including matching member payments coming in and vendor payments going out, along with transfer and sweep activity.* Responsible for performing various/month end/quarter end close activities to meet accounting close deadlines. These include, but are not limited to, journal entry preparation and submission and preparation of appropriate support* Reconcile and maintain the integrity of the assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts* Create, upload, and modify accounting entries into accounting system and maintain workpapers in accordance with GAAP and company policies and procedures* Document internal controls surrounding the tasks performed to ensure completion of close checklist* Establish productive relationships within the accounting team and other departments* Provide accurate and timely responses to requests from internal customers including accounting, finance, and operations* Assist with member contracts, including ensuring the accuracy of billing contracts and answering questions about member accounts.* Assist with other ad-hoc project as necessary**What you’ll*****Bring:**** Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience* 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred* Experience obtaining and analyzing data from an ERP system (SalesForce and Oracle experience preferred, but not required)* Proficient with Excel (including experience with pivot tables)* Strong analytical and quantitative skills* Candidate should be effective in time management of schedule* Ability to multi-task while working on a fast-paced environment* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities* Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well on a team and a positive disposition* Ability to follow instruction, complete assignments in a timely manner**Added*****Fuel*****if you have:*** Oracle Cloud Experience* SalesForce experience* Active CPA license, pursuing CPA* Knowledge of US GAAP Standards and SOX Compliance**Applicants for our positions are considered without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, religion, military or veteran status, or any other characteristics protected by law.**#LI-DM1#LI-Remote#DBCORPPosition Location:OntarioCompensation Range:$73,200.00 - $130,800.00Compensation Frequency:AnnualBase pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
