Job summary

VB Spine is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its hybrid Leesburg, VA finance team. You will support monthly consolidations, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements within a dynamic spine-care environment.

The role requires a BS in Accounting/Finance and 2–3 years of relevant experience, with strong Excel skills and solid accounting knowledge. Oracle ERP/Hyperion experience is a plus; CPA candidate is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• 2–3 years of finance or accounting experience.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including designing, building, and maintaining complex files.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and their application.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex accounting issues using independent judgment.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and Hyperion Financials is a strong plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
• CPA (or working toward designation) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of Spine financial results.
• Prepare and analyze monthly management reporting for Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow statements.
• Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and conduct detailed financial analysis.
• Provide analytical support during the annual budget and planning processes.
• Participate in Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) compliance and external financial statement audits.
• Prepare Federal, State, and other tax packages and filings.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives for journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Respond to ad‑hoc financial analysis and information requests from business unit leaders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to promote a culture of inclusiveness, cooperation, and high performance.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller or Manager.
