Job Details
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Provide internal and external auditing services for the business.
  • Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
  • Prepare and review journal entries to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and plans for the organization.
  • Provide consultancy on strategic financial decisions and risk management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and ensure the organization is in compliance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve financial efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with specific experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven experience with journal entries, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and consultancy skills, with the ability to provide strategic financial advice.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
