Our organization is seeking a Audit Manager to join our Accounting + Finance team. This role is a critical part of our organization, ensuring the financial stability and transparency that our stakeholders and community rely on. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our financial statement audit process. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of financial statement audits for our non-profit organization.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Preparing and presenting audit findings to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior audit staff.
  • Working closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Reviewing and updating our organization's audit procedures and policies as needed.
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns.
  • Providing technical accounting advice to staff and management on complex transactions.
  • Leading and participating in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in audit management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Proven experience in non-profit financial statement audit preparation.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism.
