Job summary

State of Franklin Healthcare Associates in Johnson City seeks a Staff Accountant to join our finance team. You will perform monthly general journal entries, account reconciliations, budgeting support, and prepare financial statements across our healthcare groups.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or information systems, at least three years’ accounting experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or information systems.
• Three years of accounting experience with healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office; knowledge of SQL/SSRS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monthly general journal entries and financial statements.
• Account reconciliations, cost reports, and bank reconciliations.
• Interim and year-end audit support and data collection process improvements.
• Budgeting assistance and annual budgeting process involvement.
• Prepare and analyze practice management reports and pension/401(k), payroll, and AP support.

Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of our patients and our team members.**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Monthly general and standard journal entries, financial statements, and comparative reports* Account reconciliations, cost reports, and bank reconciliations* Interim and year-end audit assistance* Reports related to recommended changed in data collection procedures* Automation of data collection* Annual budgeting process assistance* Compile health field organizational comparative surveys and result oriented comparisons* Fixed asset management (accumulated depreciation reconciliations/balancing etc.)* Prepaid management* Assist clerical staff with issues* Proficient with Microsoft Access Database and Practice Management Reports* Weekly cash flow forecasts* 401K contribution and changes for employees and executives* Calculation/Reconciliation of monthly pension and quarterly funding* File/Maintain county/city personal property taxes* Maintain/Manage SOFHA Real Estate Entities books and financials* Back-up for Payroll and Accounts Payable* Monthly physician expense, income, and distribution schedules* Maintain strict confidentiality* Follow all organizational policies and procedures**REQUIREMENTS:*** Bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on accounting or information systems.**EXPERIENCE:**Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel is required.
