Job summary

Dexian is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing Accounting & Finance team in Boca Raton. You will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end and quarter-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong foundational accounting knowledge and broad corporate accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Fundamental accounting principles knowledge (debits and credits).
• Hands-on experience preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
• General ledger and month-end close experience.
• Strong Excel skills (LOOKUPs, pivots, data analysis).
• SOX/internal controls and audits experience a plus.
• CPA progress toward CPA is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting activities across the general ledger, cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and supporting schedules.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Review income and expense activity for accuracy and proper classification.
• Analyze account activity and investigate variances.
• Prepare clear, review-ready workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Assist with financial reporting schedules, trial balance tie-outs, and account analysis.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Assist with fixed asset additions, disposals, depreciation schedules, and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve accounting matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Staff Accountant looking to strengthen their technical accounting skills and develop toward a Senior Accountant position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, roll‑for‑wards, and supporting schedules
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; Finance or a related business degree may be considered with sufficient accounting coursework and relevant experience
• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including debits and credits
• Hands‑on experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
• General ledger and month‑end close experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis
• Experience working within a larger, structured corporate accounting environment strongly preferred
• Public‑company accounting experience is a plus but not required
• Experience with SOX, internal controls, external audits, multi‑entity accounting, or financial analysis is a plus
• CPA or progress toward a CPA is a plus but not required
