Job summary

Kforce has a client in Austin, TX seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable, intercompany transactions, and month-end close.

The role will review transactions for accuracy, maintain supporting documentation, assist with financial reporting, and partner with accounting leadership as ownership grows in assigned functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• General ledger and journal entry experience.
• Reconciliations across accounts and balance sheets.
• Month-end and year-end close duties.
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Austin, TX. The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable, intercompany transactions, and month-end/year-end close activities. This individual will review transactions for accuracy, research and resolve discrepancies, maintain supporting documentation, assist with financial reporting, and provide additional accounting support as needed. The role will work closely with accounting leadership and take increasing ownership of assigned accounting functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred
• General ledger accounting experience
• Journal entry preparation experience
• Account and balance sheet reconciliations experience
• Month-end and year-end close experience
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• QuickBooks experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
