Responsibilities

Kforce's client in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a collaborative finance team. This role is responsible for supporting month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. Fully in office position for training, hybrid schedule after training. Salary and benefits and other company discounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Analyze and explain variances against budget and forecast
• Ensure balance sheet and income statement accounts are accurate and properly stated
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Perform financial analysis and provide reporting to support business decisions
• Partner with operational teams to improve financial understanding and accountability
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience; retail industry experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
