Job summary

RMS USA is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team in North Andover, MA. This hands-on role covers the full accounting cycle and offers direct impact on our reporting, controls, and process improvements.

You will prepare journal entries, assist with month-end close, reconcile accounts, analyze variances, and support audits. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in accounting, a BA/BS in accounting or finance, and strong Excel/ERP skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting, general ledger, or financial reporting experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
• Experience with ERP systems or accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to the general ledger.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Perform account reconciliations including bank, credit card, and intercompany accounts.
• Analyze financial data and provide variance explanations to support management reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including depreciation schedules.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies.
• Support external and internal audit requests by preparing documentation and schedules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and process improvements.
• Assist with sales tax filings and other regulatory compliance requirements as needed.
