RMS Energy Co. seeks a Senior Accountant to provide proactive financial and operational analysis for decision support. This role includes month-end close, journal entries, inventory management, and internal controls across U.S. and Canadian operations.

The candidate will work with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting, variance analysis, and adherence to GAAP. Strong Excel skills and effective communication are essential.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Complete annual tax filings and various returns.
• Manage inventory accounting, reconciliations, and COGS analysis.
• Support month-end close and journal entries for multiple entities.
• Handle licensing and insurance filings for job requirements.
• Assist with fixed assets, prepaids, and related disclosures.
• Support acquisition integration within RMS processes.
• Document and update accounting policies and controls.
• Maintain internal controls for accuracy of financial records.
• Assist external auditors and tax returns.

We’re looking for a Sneior Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll provide the Company’s business leaderspro-active financial and operational information and analysis to support decision-making and continuous improvement. This person will be expected to execute month end close journal entries and reconciliations, manage inventory and related entries, and maintain effective internal controls.

What You’ll Do:

• Complete annual 1099 tax return filings, specific state property tax and commercial activity filings, annual net profit returns and occupational tax returns
• Manage inventory accounting, including reconciliations and variance analysis, cost of goods sold analysis, inventory reserves and counts
• Support month-End journal entries and reconciliations related to job costing, intercompany allocations, leases, internal commissions, and incentive units for our U.S. andour Canadian entity
• Manage and support local licensing and insurance for specific job requirements and related filings
• Support finance team related to fixed assets, prepaids, commissions, insurance, bonding, including board reporting
• Support integration and compliance of acquisition into RMS processes, including month end journal entries and reconciliations
• Design and document finance and accounting policies and procedures
• Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records
• Keep abreast of technology and identify tools that can help streamline workflow
• Support annual external audit and tax return preparation

The Experience We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years' experience in finance and accounting, ideally within the power industry
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and fixed asset accounting standards
• Familiarity with accounting software platforms and advanced Excel functions
• Ability to apply problem-solving skills to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication in professional settings

Additional Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
• Must be proficient in English for speaking, reading, writing, and documentation

Bonus Points for:

• Experience managing business insurance, bonds, or external financial platforms
• Exposure to project-based accounting or energy-sector financial operations
