Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, grounds keeping and custodial work in all common areas.
• Move hay, muck stalls, groom/blanket/feed/turn out horses.
• Perform set-ups and breakdowns for lessons/events.
• Clean community facilities including refilling supplies and cleaning furniture.
• Complete minor maintenance and repair.
• Daily routine of facilities maintenance to provide safe, attractive, clean, efficient facilities.
• Operate light equipment and machinery.
• Perform labor-intensive work.

About the Community:

This custom home community includes wooded home sites, a beautiful centerpiece lake, exclusive Equestrian Center with indoor/outdoor arena, hike and bike trails, and a spectacular lodge.

What you’ll accomplish:

• Performing general maintenance, grounds keeping, and custodial work in all common areas
• Moving hay, mucking stalls, grooming/blanketing/feeding/turning out horses
• Performing set‑ups and breakdowns for lessons/events
• Cleaning community facilities including; emptying trash, replacing pet waste bags, sweeping, cleaning furniture, etc
• Completing minor maintenance and repair
• Accomplishing a daily routine of general and preventative facilities maintenance to provide environmentally safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient facilities and parks
• Operating a wide variety of light equipment and machinery
• Performing a variety of labor‑intensive work

What we’re looking for:

• Must be comfortable around horses
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge and proficiency gained through training and experience in the maintenance / custodial field
• A team player who takes pride in their responsibilities and the facilities they oversee
• Organization, efficiency and the ability to exercise good judgement
• Ability to communicate with managers, residents and peers in a positive and effective way
• Reliability, positive attitude, and skills to complete maintenance tasks
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen, background check, and physical

Physical requirements can vary, but generally they may include:

• Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
• Lifting and Carrying: Physically able to move a variety of tools / cleaning equipment and lift up to 50 pounds
• Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
• Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.
• Driving: Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions. (Please note: We will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving status.)
