Job Summary

The Groundskeeper / Assistant Maintenance Technician will maintain the overall cleanliness and functionality of the community facilities, performing tasks that support our purpose of building community by bringing people together.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Daily upkeep of the community grounds and facilities.
• General cleaning and trash removal on a dedicated route.
• Sweeping or hosing off community areas daily and as needed after rentals.
• Ensuring areas around dumpsters remain clear.
• Operating within OSHA standards and company safety policies.
• Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment needed to perform duties.
• Executing additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years old.
• At least 2 years of groundskeeping/maintenance experience.
• Skills in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other building trades.
• Experience in landscaping, irrigation and grounds maintenance.
• Organized, efficient, and able to recognize acceptable quality for facility upkeep.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents, managers and peers.
• Flexible to work after‑hours and weekends.
• Problem‑solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
• Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen, background check and physical.

Motor Vehicle Requirements

If driving is or becomes a requirement, you must hold a valid state driver’s license for the class of vehicle you will drive, maintain a clean motor‑vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. Notify HR immediately of any change to your motor‑vehicle standing. CCMC may periodically review motor‑vehicle reports to ensure compliance.

Physical Requirements

• Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
• Lifting and carrying: Occasionally lift and carry supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Extended sitting or standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
• Manual dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.
• Driving: Ability to operate a vehicle to perform certain job functions.
