Job summary

Lincoln Motor Company is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead critical supplier processes and drive defect reduction in QR performance at our Michigan plant. You will support IQ and STA efforts, manage containment actions, and coordinate with the PRT and PIC Room to ensure issue resolution and ongoing quality improvements.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or equivalent, plus 2+ years in plant manufacturing and strong presentation skills to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/engineering degree or equivalent technical manufacturing aptitude.
• 2+ years of Plant Manufacturing experience.
• Ability to develop and present materials to senior leadership with short timelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate part quality confirmation process for suppliers with repetitive containment failure.
• Lead containment of special-cause supplier process -1MIS and 0MIS SIMPSN & BSAQ projects.
• Drive root cause analysis activities with select critical to quality suppliers.
• Align with PRT on Supplier Process (SP) SIMPSN & BSAQ issues for Glidepath values.
• Provide early notification to and engage the STA Site team on potential Stop Shipments related to supplier process (SP).
• Provide support in containing supplier Stop Ship issues. Assist Site STA team with vehicle On-Hold and Release process tracking.
• Work with Stop Ship stakeholders to support accurate root cause for Prevent Action Closure (PAC) process reporting.
• Monitor daily production report (DPR) and provide notification to STA management for issues that require Site STA team awareness/intervention.
• Act as supplier representative and liaison between STA and manufacturing plant management. Support Daily Plant Quality Meetings (PIC Room) to report on containment of Supplier Process warranty issues, participate in PRT forums, lead supplier preparation for PQRs (Powertrain Quality Review).
