The State of Indiana, INDOT, seeks a Hoosier Helper Safety Service Patrol crew member in Indianapolis to speed incident clearance, assist motorists, and maintain traffic flow. CDL required with on-site CDL training if needed; base salary starts around $42,900 with added hourly CDL incentive.

Formación

• Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or obtain one within 90 days.
• Must be willing to travel with appropriate accommodation.
• Must pass a drug test as a condition of employment.
• Must be able to move weight up to 50 pounds.
• Must read, write, and communicate effectively; follow directions and work as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Patrols and responds to freeway incidents; sets up traffic control and verifies incidents.
• Acts as liaison to Supervisor and reports operational deficiencies.
• Monitors traffic conditions and reports delays or closures.
• Performs pre-operation vehicle inspections and inventories; maintains vehicle.
• Interacts with maintenance personnel for vehicle upkeep.
• Handles administrative tasks such as incident logs and time sheets.
• Performs other related duties as assigned; attendance onsite is essential.
