Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an experienced Ops Engineer to own and execute strategic cross-functional operational and technology projects within the Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) team. The role focuses on expanding sub-same day delivery through integration of key material handling equipment and end-to-end process ownership.

The position requires strong project management, leadership across engineering and operations, and the ability to drive timelines, risks, and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience.
• 5+ years of Reliability Program Manager experience.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience.
• 2+ years of commercial CO2 refrigeration applications experience.
• 3+ years of material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments experience.
• 3+ years of leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME experience.
• Refrigeration Trade School certificate.
• Experience in automated or non-automated material handling equipment.
• Flex schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• 7+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation.
• Experience managing lifecycle of cross-functional projects, implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage high visibility automation programs quality, capacity, and future design innovations to scale SSD network.
• Work cross functionally with Reliability Maintenance, Design, and Innovation Engineering teams to deliver complex solutions.
• Execute key deliverable timelines for Engineering programs and meet operational goals with stakeholders.
• Dive deep into dashboards, automation logs, and resources to inform next steps.
• Drive weekly quality and capacity performance of MHE with operations to meet customer promises and cost goals.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Refrigeration Trade School certificate
