SK hynix memory solutions America Inc. is seeking an Intern SSD Mechanical Engineer to join the hardware development team.

You’ll design, analyze, and test the physical architecture of next-generation SSDs for data center use, tackling thermal management, structural integrity, high-density packaging, and manufacturing optimization. You’ll gain hands-on experience solving complex mechanical challenges alongside senior engineers, including PROTOTYPING, testing, and data-driven design validation in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Aerospace or closely related technical field.
• Solid understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
• Hands-on lab experience with tools like thermocouples, data loggers, force gauges, or 3D printers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to write technical reports and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Design: Develop and refine 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for SSD enclosures, heatsinks, TIMs, and brackets.
• Prototyping & Testing: Build physical prototypes, set up thermal/mechanical test vehicles, and run environmental reliability tests.
• Data Analysis: Collect and analyze test data to verify designs meet form factors and standards.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with electrical engineers, signal integrity experts, and test engineers to provide mechanical solutions.
