Job summary

Micron Technology in the United States is seeking an SSD Hardware Mechanical Engineer to shape the mechanical and thermal development of SSD products across the lifecycle. You will design, analyze, and validate hardware solutions for SSDs and work closely with electrical, packaging, reliability, manufacturing, and product engineering teams.

This hands-on role requires a strong foundation in mechanical design, thermal analysis, and documentation, with AI-enabled workflows and tools.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in mechanical design and thermal analysis.
Hands-on engineer comfortable in a laboratory environment.
Experience delivering hardware programs from concept to implementation.
Ability to work with electrical, packaging, reliability, manufacturing and product engineering teams.
AI proficiency or AI-enabled ways of working required.

Responsibilities

Develop and validate mechanical and thermal solutions for SSD hardware programs.
Support hardware architecture activities and perform design analysis and testing.
Contribute to product execution from concept through implementation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance, reliability, quality and cost objectives.
Utilize AI tools and agents in workflow.
