Job summary

The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga DD) is seeking a manager to plan, organize and manage SSA activities, including service authorization and Medicaid waiver enrollment. The role involves coaching staff, implementing performance standards, and ensuring compliance with governing rules.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a related field, plus several years of supervisory experience in DD services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, special education or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Five years of successful experience with programs for DD persons and their families.
• Minimum of two years of related supervisory experience or substantial professional experience in service coordination.
• Eligibility for State Department of DD certification required for the position with certification occurring within state statute time lines.
• Valid state of Ohio driver's license and continued maintenance of excellent driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage SSA activities including service authorization and Medicaid waiver enrollment.
• Coach and direct Support Administrators and Supervisors to maximize positive outcomes and improve customer experience.
• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff; implement performance standards and provide coaching and discipline as needed.
• Provide information, training and technical assistance to staff, providers, families and other stakeholders.
• Oversee expenditures for HCBS Waiver services and locally funded programs to ensure fiscal responsibility.
