Job summary

The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Director to oversee Service and Support Administration, including Medicaid and Waiver services, and local funding. The role requires leading SSA teams, shaping policies, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across departments.

The position is based at the Donzella Administration building with a hybrid work schedule. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in a related field, with at least five years in DD programs and

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, special education, public administration, or a related field.
• Five years’ successful experience with programs for DD persons and their families.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
• Eligibility for State Department of DD SSA Supervisor certification.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise SA Managers, SA supervisors and Support Administrators delivering SSA functions.
• Oversee SSA services across housing, employment, intake and eligibility.
• Develop and implement SSA policies and procedures; coordinate with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with rules and regulations governing SSA delivery.
• Represent the organization in committees and coordinate with state and local agencies.
