Job summary

SonarSource in Austin, TX, seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Lead to guide cloud engineering for SonarQube Cloud and SonarQube Server, delivering high-quality, secure, scalable features that help our users write better software.

You will lead Cloud Engineers and SREs, own reliability, performance, and security, drive automation to reduce toil, and collaborate with cross‑functional squads to meet production platform needs while upholding governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on SRE, cloud operations or infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of DevOps/SRE mindset and mission-critical shared services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Engineers (Cloud Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers).
• Ensure high engineering standards focusing on reliability, performance and security.
• Oversee on-call health, incident response, and automation to reduce manual toil.
• Foster blameless post-mortems and share architectural insights.
• Collaborate with value stream squads to meet production platform needs with governance.
• Communicate a clear vision aligned with platform roadmap, resiliency and cost optimization.
• Partner with Hiring to recruit and build the team.
