Sonar is seeking an experienced Platform/Cloud Engineering Leader to drive SRE, cloud operations, and infrastructure reliability in Austin, TX. You will guide Cloud Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers, emphasizing service reliability, performance, and security while reducing manual toil through automation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with focus on SRE/Cloud Ops.
• Deep understanding of DevOps/SRE practices and mission-critical services.
• Experience with AWS and managing large-scale infrastructure.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform / CDK; code reviews for IaC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Cloud/Infrastructure Engineers, driving autonomy and reliability.
• Maintain high standards for reliability, performance, and security.
• Oversee on-call toil, incident response, and automation to reduce manual work.
• Foster blameless post-mortems and share architectural insights.
• Align squad goals with platform engineering roadmap and governance.
• Collaborate with value streams to meet developer needs and cost targets.
• Participate in recruiting engineers and shaping the hiring process.
• Lead by example with servant leadership and critical decision making.
