Job summary
Sonar, based in Austin, TX, seeks an experienced engineering leader to drive SonarQube Cloud and Server. You will lead Cloud Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers, mentor teams, and uphold high standards for reliability, performance, and security as features move to production.
You’ll own the squad roadmap, collaborate with cross‑value stream squads, recruit talent, and champion blameless post‑mortems. This role is based in Austin with relocation consideration for the right candidate.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in software engineering with a focus on SRE/Cloud Ops.
- Strong DevOps mindset with experience managing mission-critical shared services.
- Expertise in AWS and large-scale infrastructure management.
- Experience with IaC and code reviews for infra components.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Cloud Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers, guiding growth and autonomy.
- Maintain high engineering standards focusing on reliability, performance, and security.
- Oversee on-call health, incident response, and automate to reduce manual toil.
- Foster blameless post-mortems and share architectural insights.
- Collaborate with value stream squads to ensure platform meets developers' needs with governance.
