Thrive Market, a mission-driven online market, seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to help cost-optimize, monitor SLI/SLOs, and maintain its Kubernetes/EKS platform. You will work across disaster recovery planning and Terraform-based infrastructure, mentored by staff engineers, shaping platform operations through 2027.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, day-to-day Kubernetes operations experience with EKS preferred.
• Solid AWS foundations including IAM setup; cloud cost awareness helpful.
• Experience with Terraform or other IaC tooling.
• Familiarity with SRE fundamentals like error budgets and SLIs/SLOs.
• Willingness to mentor and collaborate in a dialogue-driven environment.

Responsabilités

• Own cost-optimization work and monitor SLI/SLO alerts in production.
• Tune alert thresholds and respond to anomalies in systems.
• Operate and maintain Kubernetes/EKS infrastructure daily.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and IaC work with Terraform.
• Collaborate with product engineering on AI workloads on AWS Bedrock & Marketplace.
