This Site Reliability Engineer role sits within our Platform Engineering team, as the team shifts from building new systems to running and maintaining what has already been built. You will start by picking up the active backlog of cost optimization work, then grow into SLI/SLO operations and eventually disaster recovery planning, with staff engineers mentoring you along the way. Because the team is small, you will get broad exposure across the full SRE scope rather than a narrow specialization, and the work you take on will shape how the platform runs well into 2027 and beyond. Success in the first year looks like moving from completing well-defined tickets to independently scoping and defining your own work, building the kind of foundation that has helped other engineers on this team grow into major contributors.
If you’ve read books like The Google SRE Handbook, The Phoenix Project, Accelerate, The DevOps Handbook, etc., this is the right place for you!
