Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Manager, Software Engineer, Site Reliability Engineering in Sunnyvale, CA. You will lead a team focused on uptime, reliability, and scalable infrastructure, delivering automated solutions and architecting resilient systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field and 8 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience.
• Alternatively, Master's degree and 6 years of experience in the offered role or related field.
• 6 years of experience in software development, distributed systems, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to maintain service uptime and manage on-call rotations.
• Design and deliver software to optimize availability, scalability, and efficiency with automation.
• Develop mid-term technical roadmaps aligned with infrastructure needs and prioritize engineering excellence.
• Guide system architecture by vetting designs and assessing trade-offs for coherent solutions.
• Oversee cross-team projects and drive reliability and stakeholder alignment; mentor and aid hiring and growth.
