Job summary

Equifax, Inc. is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for the Finance domain in Alpharetta, GA. The role focuses on building and operating large-scale, fault-tolerant systems with DevSecOps practices and a strong emphasis on automation and reliability.

You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain extremely high uptime, implement monitoring and alerting, and drive improvements across cloud-based infrastructure. Strong scripting and cloud experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years in software engineering, systems administration, DB admin, or networking.
• 1+ years developing/administering software in public cloud.
• Experience monitoring infrastructure and uptime to meet performance goals.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript, or Node.js.
• Cross-functional knowledge across systems, storage, networking, security, and databases.
• Automation/orchestration of Linux/Windows using Terraform, Chef, Ansible, or containers.
• CI/CD tooling and practices; cloud certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a DevSecOps environment building and running large distributed systems.
• Collaborate with development and operations to ensure high availability and uptime.
• Resolve trouble tickets with cloud operations; write scripts and automate tasks.
• Build end-to-end monitoring and alerting for critical services.
• Create IaC patterns using Terraform, scripting, and cloud SDKs.
• Be part of a 24/7 on-call team following the sun incident model.
