Job summary

UST is seeking an Operations Site Reliability Engineer in Atlanta to ensure reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of critical systems. You will bridge development and operations, using automation and cloud technologies to maintain highly resilient production environments.

The role covers monitoring, incident response, RCA, and collaboration with engineering teams to improve service reliability.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Linux/Unix administration and scripting for automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Ability to manage monitoring and incident response across production environments.
• Proficient in CI/CD tooling and automation.
• Knowledge of containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and IaC tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production systems, applications, and infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Manage and respond to incidents, service outages, and critical production issues.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Develop and maintain monitoring and observability solutions.
• Create automation scripts and tools to reduce manual operational effort.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and optimize resource utilization.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability and scalability.
• Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for critical services.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery testing.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Participate in on-call rotations and production support activities.
