Job summary

Equifax is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our DevSecOps team and help build, run, and scale large distributed systems. You will collaborate with development and operations to ensure extremely high uptime, security, and cost efficiency.

Join a 24/7 on-call team that uses Terraform, cloud CLI scripting, and cloud SDKs to implement end-to-end monitoring, automation, and remediation. You will contribute to blameless postmortems and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years in software engineering, systems administration, DB administration, or networking.
• 1+ years developing/administering software in public cloud.
• Experience monitoring infrastructure and uptime objectives.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript, and/or Node.js.
• Automation/orchestration of Linux/Windows with Terraform, Chef, Ansible or containers.

Responsibilities

• Work in a DevSecOps environment building and running large-scale distributed systems.
• Collaborate with development and operations to ensure high uptime and cost effectiveness.
• Resolve incidents with cloud operations, develop/remediate scripts, and troubleshoot.
• Create tools for auto-remediation and end-to-end monitoring and alerting.
• Build IAC patterns using Terraform and cloud SDKs to meet security/engineering standards.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call incident and problem management as part of first responders.
