Job summary

Barclays is seeking an Application Support Analyst - SRE to provide production support and application management for Synthetics SWAP Trading and related applications. You will be the primary escalation contact for Front Office trading issues, coordinate crisis management, and collaborate across Business, Development, Infrastructure, and Operations to minimize disruption.

You should have strong Unix/Linux/Windows knowledge, SQL Server development experience, scripting skills, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Proficient in Unix/Linux/Windows environments and scripting (Shell/Perl; PowerShell).
• Experience with SQL Server development and support (SQL/PL-SQL).
• Familiarity with middleware and Java-based tech.
• Experience with monitoring, incident handling, and production support.
• Understanding of trading/financial services domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support and application management for Synthetics SWAP Trading and related apps.
• Serve as primary escalation point for Front Office trading operations issues and participate in crisis management.
• Collaborate with Business, Development, Infrastructure, Operations and vendors to support changes and minimize disruption.
• Engage in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain secure coding practices and implement unit testing to ensure reliability.
• Stay informed on industry trends and contribute to technology communities.
