Job summary

FedEx Corporation in the United States seeks a Sr. Intl. Documentation agent to serve as the primary contact for international freight customers, resolving issues and supporting sales and customers in the efficient movement of shipments.

The role requires five years of logistics experience and strong knowledge of international shipping paperwork, with the ability to communicate effectively and prioritize tasks. Remote work eligibility is available for this position.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years work experience in logistics/distribution/transportation providing direct international customer service contact or three (3) years as a Sr. Intl. Documentation agent (sr. Ida).
• Thorough knowledge of mainframe and web-based applications (COSMOS, K2, FAMIS, CASE, EBS, EOPS, CARGORES).
• Excellent human relations and communication skills; ability to prioritize and analyze information.
• Working knowledge of international shipping paperwork and procedures.
• Ability to complete all basic and recurrent training.

Job description

Provides current and potential international freight customers with a primary point of contact for their international shipping needs. Ensures the resolution of customer issues, problems and requests. Leads support to sales and customers in their quest for the efficient movement of shipments and clearance of international shipments, while developing opportunities to increase export revenues.

• Provides advanced knowledge and support of sales cycle and product listings.
• Identifies systemic and recurring service issues for international customers through research and elevate identified issues to the appropriate person for resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years work experience in logistics/distribution/transportation providing direct international customer service contact or three (3) years as a Sr. Intl. Documentation agent (sr. Ida), (ida experience must have been within the last two years).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Thorough knowledge of mainframe and web-based applications, i.e., COSMOS, K2, FAMIS, CASE, EBS, EOPS, CARGORES, etc.

Proficient in Word processing, spreadsheets, and other PC related software.

Excellent human relations, communication, analytical and prioritizing skills required.

Working knowledge of international shipping paperwork and procedures required.

Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrent training

Preferred Qualifications

This position is eligible for remote work and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding AK, HI and U.S. territories, however if you live within the 100 miles radius of a FedEx campus location, Kansas City, MO, several times per week.
