About the Amazon Worldwide Sustainability Tech Team

Our team creates products and tools to measure and mitigate Amazon’s social and environmental impacts, applying scientifically-credible approaches that influence various parts of our business, from packaging and product design to data centers and airline fleets.

Position: Senior UX Researcher

We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher interested in exploring how Amazon can empower internal and external customers to make informed decisions to reduce and manage social and environmental impacts through our tools.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct independent research on various product aspects and user experiences.
  2. Gather and analyze user behavior data through surveys and benchmark studies.
  3. Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to prioritize research opportunities.
  4. Integrate complex technical and business requirements into research strategies.
  5. Present research findings effectively to diverse audiences through reports and presentations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Statistics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in digital product research, with a strong portfolio demonstrating impactful work.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Deep understanding of human motivations and design processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in an agile environment.
  • Experience managing end-to-end customer research with agencies.
  • Strategic mindset with a passion for data-driven impact.
  • Interest in behavioral science, research methods, and UX design innovations.
  • Additional preferred qualifications include 8+ years of UX and market research experience, advanced degrees, proficiency with analysis tools, and experience in global markets.
