Central Transport is seeking a Terminal Manager to lead dock operations at our Benton City terminal and drive high‑level performance in a fast-paced LTL environment. You will recruit, coach, and retain terminal staff while ensuring safety, service quality, and on-time performance.

• Must have prior LTL management experience.
• Strong leadership, including hiring, coaching, counseling, training and mentoring.
• Desire to deliver excellent customer service.
• High aptitude for technology and systems.
• Ability to multi-task while staying detail oriented.
• Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work 50 hours/week on average.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee dock operations at the terminal.
• Manage loading/unloading, forklift traffic, and palletized freight picking/sorting.

Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule of:

Monday-Friday 6:00AM-4:00PM

Salary ranges from:

$75,000-$90,000/year + up to an additional 20% in quarterly bonuses

Terminal Manager

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Prior LTL management experience is strongly preferred
• Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, and mentor employees
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
• High aptitude for technology
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
• Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work 50 hours/week average
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee dock operations at the terminal
• This includes the process of loading & unloading freight, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal staff
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers and dock workers
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards
• Ensure company operational model compliance
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase
