Central Transport LLC is seeking a Terminal Manager to lead dock operations, supervise drivers and dock staff, and drive safety and efficiency at the Iowa/Dubuque terminal.

Ideal candidate has prior LTL management experience, strong leadership, and the ability to hire and mentor teams. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; flexibility for long hours is required.

Qualifications

• Prior LTL management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership including hiring, coaching and mentoring employees.
• Willingness to work 50 hours/week on a varying shift.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee dock operations: loading/unloading, forklift traffic, palletized freight.
• Recruit, hire, onboard and retain terminal staff.
• Provide leadership to drivers and dock workers.
• Monitor dock production and KPI goals.
• Maintain a safe work environment per DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure compliance with company operational model.
• Support a culture of excellence in product quality.

Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule of: Monday-Friday 6:00AM-4:00PM. Salary ranges from: $80,000-$95,000 per year including up to 20% in quarterly bonuses (could earn an additional $15,000-$18,000/year in bonuses).

• Prior LTL management experience is strongly preferred
• Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, and mentor employees
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
• High aptitude for technology
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
• Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work 50 hours/week average
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required

Duties

• Oversee dock operations at the terminal. This includes the process of loading & unloading freight, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal staff.
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers and dock workers.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase.
