The Opportunity:

• The Quality Team Lead will assist with developing, implementing and managing the effective use of the quality management system. Execute provided direction to the third shift quality associates, demonstrate active leadership, work on assigned task, projects as assigned. Ensure the success of new business by supporting the quality management system
• Provide feedback to upper management and provide input for third shift annual appraisals
• Participate and lead internal audits and provide written summary reports on finding
• Provide decisions on quality problems associated with product, process and procedures
• Support the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system by submitting and resolving issues, respond to assigned customer complaints including written response and evaluate rejected material
• Active involvement in projects using Lean / Six Sigma tools related to quality, customer satisfaction and key objectives
• Assist with compiling monthly quality performance, metrics, trends and reports
• Knowledge of Quality roles and capable of assisting or backfilling as needed
• Conduct training sessions and assist to develop skill set for associates
• Manage assigned product trials, raw material evaluation, conduct test, gather data, evaluate and summarize results, write technical reports and help develop work instruction, test methods and procedures as needed-Need to revise

What You Need to Succeed:

• Ability to work in a demanding, time pressured environment with tight deadlines
• Working knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma principles
• Experience with ISO9001:2000, cGMP, food safety and HACCP
• Experience with internal audits, batch record review, lab testing, AQL sampling / inspection methods, SPC, Specifications and CAPA
• Strong written, verbal and electronic skills to include training, data analysis and written reports
• Good computer skills with experience using MS Office (Word and Excel), MiniTab, understanding of Infinity IQS and share the technology with other associates
• Perform and handle multiple task in a high energy environment without losing sight of long and short term objectives
• Direct and lead QA associates with assignments, action items, improvement projects, interact effectively with peers, supervision and handoff to other shifts
• Limited travel may be required
• Ability to effectively WFH if needed
