Job summary

i270 Solutions Group LLC is seeking a senior engineer to deploy and sustain enterprise apps as code in a cloud environment. You will own CI/CD pipelines for platforms like SharePoint and Tableau, integrating them with identity and workflow systems to keep the environment stable and secure.

You will drive architectural direction with a total-system perspective across cloud, infrastructure, and security, while documenting designs and procedures for repeatable use by others.

About the Role

This is a senior engineering role focused on deploying and sustaining enterprise applications as code in a cloud environment. You will own the CI/CD pipelines that stand up and maintain platforms like SharePoint and Tableau, integrate them with identity and workflow systems, and keep the whole environment stable and secure. The work rewards engineers who can hold a total system perspective - who understand how cloud services, infrastructure, and security domains depend on one another, and can reason across all three when something breaks.

What You Will Do

• Configure, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications as code (AaC) through CI/CD pipelines in a cloud-based environment.
• Build and maintain integration interfaces between applications, workflow systems, and automation platforms.
• Implement and troubleshoot identity and access management across enterprise applications.
• Develop comprehensive test plans for unit and user system testing, and validate results.
• Hold a total system perspective across cloud services, infrastructure, and security domains - understanding the relationships, dependencies, and requirements among them, and helping guide technical direction accordingly.
• Document designs, configurations, and procedures to a standard others can work from.

Required Qualifications

Certification and background

• DoDD 8140 compliance. Security+ CE certification at minimum, held at time of hire.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM field. [Confirm whether this is firm or whether additional experience may substitute.]

Application deployment as code

• Expertise configuring, deploying, and maintaining applications as code (AaC) through CI/CD pipelines in a cloud-based environment.
• Direct experience applying that approach to SharePoint and to Tableau.

Platform and troubleshooting

• Expert troubleshooting and solutioning ability, including Windows-based troubleshooting and implementation.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (Cassandra, MySQL, MongoDB, or comparable).

Integration and automation

• Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
• Integrating applications with workflow, case management, ticketing, or automation platforms such as ServiceNow or custom-built systems.
• Working comfort with DevOps tooling - Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, or equivalents.

Identity and access

• Knowledge of IDAM requirements and technologies including Active Directory, SAML, OpenLDAP, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC.

Testing, documentation, and communication

• Demonstrated experience building comprehensive test plans for unit and user system testing and validation.
• Strong documentation skills, and the ability to describe complex technical issues clearly and succinctly in writing and in person.

Preferred Qualifications

Modeling toolchain

• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Teamwork Cloud and Cameo (and associated tooling such as Cassandra DB), deployed as code through CI/CD in a cloud environment.

Additional platforms deployed as code

• Experience applying the same AaC and CI/CD approach to other COTS applications, including IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management.

Cloud and infrastructure

• Cloud platforms beyond the primary environment - Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle, or IBM.
• Cloud solution optimization.
• Maintaining API gateways and service catalogs in a cloud-based environment.
• Containerized development environments (Kubernetes, Rancher).
• Integration of virtualized applications, including application streaming or layering techniques.
• Cross domain solution development.

Observability and service management

• Configuring and instrumenting visualization tools such as Grafana or Splunk to work with applications.
