About the Role

This role owns the delivery pipeline. You will design cloud architecture, build and secure CI/CD and test automation, and make iterative development actually work — so that changes reach production quickly, safely, and with evidence behind them. Unlike the platform-specific roles on this program, this one is not tied to a single application. The breadth is the point: cloud design on one end, automated testing and security on the other, with the pipeline in between.

What You Will Do

• Design cloud architecture and systems, primarily in AWS.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and DevSecOps practices across iterative development projects.
• Develop robust test plans and execute system testing and validation.
• Develop integration interfaces connecting systems and services.
• Decompose work accurately into Jira stories and deliver within Agile practices.
• Build and support containerized development environments.
• Configure and maintain API gateways and service catalogs.
• Learn and apply the customer's system security requirements and processes across everything you build.
• Document architecture, configurations, and procedures to a standard others can work from.

Required Qualifications

Certification and background

• DoDD 8140 compliance. Security+ CE certification at minimum, held at time of hire.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM field. [Confirm whether firm or whether additional experience may substitute.]

Pipeline and automation — the core of the role

• CI/CD, test automation, and DevSecOps. Expertise applying these on iterative development projects.
• Demonstrated experience creating robust test plans and performing system testing and validation.
• DevOps tooling. Working comfort with Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, or equivalents.
• Familiarity with containerized development environments such as Kubernetes and Rancher.

Cloud architecture

• Cloud architecture and system design experience. AWS preferred; Azure will be considered.
• Experience with API gateways and service catalogs.

Development and integration

• Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
• Expert troubleshooting and solutioning ability.

Identity and access

• Working knowledge of Active Directory, IdAM, and LDAP.

Delivery practice

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including accurate decomposition of work into Jira stories.
• Strong documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Platform experience

• Systems engineering experience with any of: Teamwork Cloud and Cameo, IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management, SharePoint administration, or Tableau.
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) infrastructure and tools.

Cloud and infrastructure

• Cloud platforms beyond the primary environment — Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle, or IBM.
• Cloud solution optimization.
• Integration of virtualized applications, including application streaming or layering techniques.

Observability and service management
