About the Role
This is a senior engineering role owning the model-based systems engineering platform. You will deploy and sustain Cameo and Teamwork Cloud as code through CI/CD pipelines in a cloud environment — keeping the toolchain that the systems engineering organization depends on stable, secure, and continuously delivered. It sits at an unusual intersection: MBSE tooling on one side, cloud platform engineering on the other. Engineers who have done both are rare, which is precisely why the role exists.
What You Will Do
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Teamwork Cloud, Cameo, and their supporting infrastructure as code (AaC) through CI/CD pipelines in a cloud-based environment.
- Extend the same deployment approach to other enterprise applications across the environment.
- Build and maintain integration interfaces between the modeling platform and adjacent workflow, ticketing, and automation systems.
- Implement and troubleshoot identity and access management across the platform.
- Develop comprehensive test plans for unit and user system testing, and validate results.
- Hold a total system perspective across cloud services, infrastructure, and security domains — understanding the relationships, dependencies, and requirements among them, and helping guide technical direction accordingly.
- Document designs, configurations, and procedures to a standard others can work from.
Required Qualifications
- DoDD 8140 compliance. Security+ CE certification at minimum, held at time of hire.
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM field. [Confirm whether this is firm or whether additional experience may substitute.]
Modeling platform — the core of the role
- Teamwork Cloud and Cameo. Experience configuring, deploying, and maintaining these tools — and associated components such as Cassandra DB — as code through CI/CD pipelines in a cloud-based environment.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Working familiarity with MBSE practice and the environments it runs in.
Application deployment as code
- Expertise configuring, deploying, and maintaining applications as code (AaC) through Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment pipelines.
- Expert troubleshooting and solutioning ability.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (Cassandra, MySQL, MongoDB, or comparable).
Integration and automation
- Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
- Integrating applications with workflow, case management, ticketing, or automation platforms such as ServiceNow or custom-built systems.
- Working comfort with DevOps tooling — Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, or equivalents.
Identity and access
- Knowledge of IDAM requirements and technologies including Active Directory, SAML, OpenLDAP, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC.
Testing, documentation, and communication
- Demonstrated experience building comprehensive test plans for unit and user system testing and validation.
- Strong documentation skills, and the ability to describe complex technical issues clearly and succinctly in writing and in person.
Preferred Qualifications
- Applying the same AaC and CI/CD approach to other COTS applications — IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management, SharePoint, or Tableau.
Cloud and infrastructure
- Cloud platforms beyond the primary environment — Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle, or IBM.
- Cloud solution optimization.
- Maintaining API gateways and service catalogs in a cloud-based environment.
- Containerized development environments (Kubernetes, Rancher).
- Integration of virtualized applications, including application streaming or layering techniques.
- Cross domain solution development.
Observability and service management
- Configuring and instrumenting visualization tools such as Grafana or Splunk to work with applications.
