Job summary

Arena Technical Resources, LLC (ATR) is seeking a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer in Sterling, VA. You will leverage CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, and cloud architectures to design and implement secure, resilient systems.

The role requires a TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance, a STEM degree, and 10+ years of experience. Proficiency with AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, and key DevOps tools is expected for success.

Qualifications

• We are seeking 10+ years of relevant experience and STEM degrees.
• Meet DoD 8140 requirements and Security+ CE Certification.
• Experience with CI/CD, test automation, and DevSecOps on iterative projects.
• Ability to decompose tasks for Jira stories and document work well.
• Experience with cloud architectures (AWS preferred, Azure considered).
• Strong testing, validation, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and Groovy scripting.
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Kubernetes, Rancher).
• Hands-on with DevOps tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, AD/IdAM/LDAP).
• Experience with API Gateways, catalogs, and MBSE tools (preferred).

Job Title: Sr. DevSecOps Engineer

Job Location: Sterling, VA

Compensation: $210,000 - $225,000

Eligibility/Clearance: Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance

Job Description:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills :

We are actively seeking candidates with a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field is required.

Specific skills include the following:

• At a minimum, meet DOD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification)
• Expertise working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), test automation and / or DevSecOps on iterative development projects
• Solid ability to demonstrate solid engineering rigor
• Demonstrated experience with system testing and validation
• Expert troubleshooting and solutioning skills
• Experience with Cloud architecture and system design (prefer AWS, but will consider Azure)
• Strong documentation skills
• Familiar with Agile Methodologies
• Ability to accurately decompose tasks for Jira stories
• Developing integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy
• Experience and comfortability with Basic DevOps Tooling (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, Active Directory, IdAM, and LDAP)
• Familiarity with Containerized Development environments (Rancher, Kubernetes)
• Expertise with creating robust test plans
• Ability to quickly get familiar with customer system security requirements and processes
• Preparation and maintenance of system components
• Experience with API Gateways, catalogs

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills :

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) infrastructure and tools
• Experience with Cloud solution optimization
• Experience configuring and instrumenting Virtualization tools (Grafana, Splunk)
• Experience with ServiceNow
• Other Cloud experience (Azure, Google, Oracle, IBM)
• Integration of virtualized applications and application streaming or layering techniquesAssist with leading and overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud services, infrastructure and security domains
• SharePoint admin systems engineering experience
• IBM Enterprise Lifcycle Management systems engineering experience

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field
