Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Staff Product Definition Engineer to translate system-level power requirements into product and design specifications for high-performance voltage-regulation solutions.

You will partner with IC design, systems, firmware, validation and marketing teams to evaluate trade-offs and schedules, while documenting interfaces and use cases for CPU, GPU, ASIC platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in power electronics or related product development.
• Experience translating system or customer requirements into actionable technical requirements.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Understand system-level power challenges with customers and internal teams.
• Translate requirements into product specifications and use cases.
• Contribute to voltage-regulator architecture for high-performance platforms.
• Collaborate with IC design, systems, firmware, validation and marketing to evaluate trade-offs and schedules.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including requirements and interface specs.
• Support system analysis and evaluation of new product concepts.
