Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to drive design-in of next-generation DC-DC and multiphase power solutions. You will own hardware evaluation, circuit simulation, and system-level debugging to turn cutting-edge power management silicon into robust customer implementations.

Lead design-in activities, contribute to product definitions, and provide on-site and remote support for Tier-1 customer designs.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and supporting high-performance DC-DC and multiphase power solutions.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics topology and control loop stabilization.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB design, and circuit-level debugging.
• Proficiency with lab equipment, simulations, and system-level debugging for customer designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design-in activities and promote power delivery architectures.
• Contribute to product definition based on tech requirements and market needs.
• Perform schematic capture and PCB layout reviews for internal and customer designs.
• Develop and run simulations of power converter circuits to resolve technical issues.
• Author technical documentation to assist customers in deployment.
• Provide training on DC-DC fundamentals to FAEs and customers.
• Offer on-site and remote technical support, including root-cause analysis.
• Conduct competitive analysis to support marketing and product strategy.
• Develop a comprehensive system understanding of customer applications for new products.
