Job summary

Hims & Hers Health, Inc. is seeking a visionary Sr. Staff Engineer to lead architectural innovation and set the long-term technical direction for the organization.

You will shape the technical landscape, enable scalable cross-functional execution, and align engineering with product and business outcomes. You will mentor senior leaders, drive platform-level decisions, and champion scalable, customer-centric engineering practices across teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with group-level technical leadership.
• Experience with Kotlin, Java, or Go and scalable system design.
• Full-stack capabilities with React/Next/GraphQL.
• Experience scaling shared infrastructure across teams.
• Proficiency with CI/CD workflows and cloud infra (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to drive architectural clarity and align engineering with product goals.
• Experience translating customer and clinical needs into robust tech solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve architectural vision for customer-facing systems aligning with business strategy.
• Lead cross-org initiatives for long-term scale and foundational capabilities.
• Establish patterns for quality, resilience, and operational excellence across the org.
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to shape product direction.
• Mentor senior technical leaders and foster engineering rigor and growth.
• Remove blockers and accelerate delivery of strategic initiatives.
• Translate customer needs into scalable, maintainable solutions.
