As a Sr. Staff Accountant, you will oversee financial operations, including planning, reporting, budgeting, and month‑end close processes for assigned business units and customers. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the month‑end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and long‑term financial forecasts.
• Develop ad‑hoc reports as requested by customers and/or operations.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including chart of accounts and accounting policies.
• Work with operations to analyze performance, including reviewing client‑related sales and expenses and comparing performance to budget.
• Review and reconcile labor, tracking and reporting labor costs associated with respective jobs.
• Review and analyze tax assessments for assigned operations, providing client‑facing relevant tax reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as required; prepare and file sales/use tax reporting when indicated.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within the accounting function.
• Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in accounting or related fields.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suites, with a particular emphasis on Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Ability to learn and work with ERP software.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a demanding environment.
